"Butterfly on Fire" painted in 2023. The piece represents one's transformation through heat and fire. The heat has two meanings. First, representing God's Holy Fire that burns up impurities in someone causing a change in the person. Second, representing the heat and hardships of life that causes transformation in a person. 

Learning to carry your cross and choosing to stay obedient does not come easy. However God is gracious that He won't let us carry beyond what we are able. In fact His grace is sufficent for us in our weakness. This blog post is a vulnerable post on the reality of the cost of obedience. The purpose of this blog post is to encourage others who are learning to carry their cross to follow Jesus. It also serves as a wake up call to count the cost of following Jesus.
